ABOUT ME

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been someone who is full of awe at the world around me and the beauty that it holds. From asking a million questions to my parents about anything and everything, to being the one in my family to force everyone to stop and look at the sunset, the outside world has always proven to amaze me and cause me to think critically.

 

I’ve always had a creative side and gravitated towards art, and I’ve always been a very organized person, who loves making plans and sticking to them. The combination of these two traits are what led me to graphic design. I’m able to express my creativity while also utilizing my eye for detail and organization. Not everyone knows how to design, but everyone appreciates design, whether they’re aware of it or not. Design is present almost everywhere in the world around us, and it’s a way for ideas and concepts to be elevated, promoted, understood, and enjoyed, which is a powerful force. Since design is made by people at its core, I believe we all hold a responsibility for what we’re putting into the world, and how that work will impact others. As Zaza Kabayadondo, an educator focusing on playfulness and creative problem-solving, writes, “The more brave people who think about design as a powerful tool for shaping the world, the better chance we have.”
